"I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.” - Quoted from Anaïs Nin
French born Author Anaïs Nin (1903), femme fatale and provocateur, known for her provoking erotic intelligent literature, an influential artist and thinker, was a woman phenomenal who lived life, rather than merely existing. Prior to residing in Los Angeles and New York, Anaïs lived a bohemian existence with author Henry Miller, and was a woman ahead of her time.

Her lyrical, poetic writings, travelled beyond her written memoirs of erotica. After her death in Los Angeles in 1977, her legacy, insightful philosophy, inspiring pearls of literature, strength and independence continue to open a new world to many. The world of Nin.
Back in Europe my literature collection consisted countless books written by her, among Delta of Venus, Little Birds, A Spy in the House of Love, and Fire: The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin. Her poetic words of wisdom were without a doubt always inviting me to envision life in a newborn perspective.
Beyond her literature - Anaïs Nin had her personal style parallel to her personality and cultural French -Cuban - Spanish background, exuding femininity and sensuality. Regardless the fact Anaïs wasn't considered as a widely known style icon in the media, I always admired her distinctive 20's look.
Cacharel named their classic, floral, dreamy Anaïs Anaïs after Nin in 1978, whereof these days the perfume still continues to linger on women worldwide, as much as her words of wisdom and literature.
